Meghan McCarthy, Esq.
Meghan graduated cum laude from the University of Tampa in 2005 where she majored in Psychology. After college, Meghan worked in higher education where she earned her Master’s degree in Psychology from Adelphi University. Looking for a career where she could incorporate her passion for advocating for others and research, Meghan turned to law.
While attending the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, Meghan was a member of the Moot Court Board and an Executive Research Editor for the Family Court Review. She interned with the Honorable Delissa A. Ridgway with the U.S. Court of International Trade and participated in her law school’s Mediation Clinic. Meghan also planned and moderated programs as a volunteer with the Law Student Perspectives Committee of the New York City Bar Association. Meghan had the distinction of graduating in the top 6% of her law school class and was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2013.
Meghan is a certified Mediator and a member of the New York State Bar Association’s Elder Law and Trust and Estates Sections, Nassau County Bar Association, and Nassau County Women’s Bar Association.
Meghan joined the Atlas Law Group in January 2015 and plays an integral part of our Elder Law, Medicaid and Estate Administration teams. When she is not working, Meghan enjoys running, gardening, going to the theater, and spending time with her husband and two rescue dogs, Chex and Copper.
